CLASSES OF CONCRETE

 

Depends on the application, there are different classes of concrete:

 

R-1 – This type of concrete is used for walls, fireplaces, columns, and chimneys.

 

R-2 – Applications for this could be: foundation walls, grade beams, and piers.

 

R-3 – This type of concrete is used for ground interior slabs that are not exposed to freezing.

 

C-2 – This type of concrete can be used for higher stress applications – concrete that is exposed to freeze/thaw – so patios, walkways, driveways and more.
